Tresillian Family Care Centres will take over the running of the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Family Centre in Curtin from the Canberra Mothercraft Society on 1 July 2019
Supporting Canberra mums and mums-to-be: consultation
Maternity Services at Centenary Hospital for Women and Children are holding a consultation on proposed changes to how women access public maternity services in the ACT. This applies to the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, and public maternity services at Calvary Hospital in Bruce.
Under the proposed changes, women will be able to:
- call one phone number to arrange their first appointment with a midwife;
- meet a midwife early to talk about public pregnancy and birthing options available in Canberra, and their personal preferences and health care needs; and
- receive local support before, during, and after pregnancy, supporting transition to parenthood.
This survey is open to everyone, but the hospital are especially interested in hearing from mums and mums-to-be.
They are collecting feedback via an online survey, short comments, or written submissions.
The consultation is online via the YourSay website, and is open until April 2019.
Calvary Private Hospital maternity to close 28 April 2019
Calvary Private Hospital in Bruce will cease providing private maternity services from 28 April 2019. They are not taking new bookings.
